Bronwen – “I love that I am able to help people find a better career path that allows them to grow, or to finally find a job that they are happy with. I am passionate about assisting in the process of a CV’s makeover and over the years, my job has also taught me that there is always room for improvement.

When it comes to ensuring that quality is controlled and standards are upheld, dedication to pursuing excellence is something I value and strive for.

I am excited to learn more about Social Media and Marketing Strategies, I am currently studying towards this, as I do enjoy being creative. This would provide me with a platform to express my creative ability. I am always open to learning new things, receiving constructive criticism and I believe that feedback is always important to ensure growth in your career path.

I have been exposed to so many types of industries, whilst working in recruitment, which has shown me how vast the workplace can be. The fact that people’s careers change, with new positions or roles being created all the time, will continue to inspire me.”

I do feel that 2022 is going to be a very exciting year for the recruitment industry, an ever-changing environment. I am happy to see how the digital age has improved our ability to interact with candidates and clients alike.

Being connected is a crucial element to the success of both companies and individual professionals. I treat every client’s company and every candidate’s career as if it is my own. My mission is to bring back true customer service, an unrivalled experience for both clients and candidates, which is lacking in our industry.

Over the years, I learnt patience and how to really listen to what people are saying, understanding what they mean and how I can make an impact in their career advancement.”

 

THE JOURNEY SO FAR

Ryan started his career in the Oil and Gas sector and spent six years with Sasol before taking some time out to work and travel within the UK.

Ryan spent two years working for GTECH on the UK National Lottery account as a Diagnostics Technician.

The travel bug got the better of Ryan and when he returned to South Africa, Ryan got into the travel industry as a Travel Consultant for Flight Centre and in a short space of time was managing two retail outlets.  Ryan was offered a position within the internal recruitment team and was subsequently put in charge of running the division for South Africa which included Corporate Traveller, Infinity Holidays, Finance, Training and Leisure.

After almost 7 years with the brand, Ryan was offered a position in external recruitment and achieved great success at building a client base.  This has given Ryan the knowledge and confidence to start BPR Business Solutions.

Ryan has established good client relationships and has successful relationships within the engineering, travel, consumer electronics industries to name but a few.

Ryan has had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands and top level candidates.

Ashley – “The most exciting part of what I do is knowing that no day will be the same as another. Every day I am challenged to solve clients’ needs and take part in candidates’ plans to grow professionally.

This year I want to ensure that every engagement I have is a memorable one, increase my influence, listening to understand and to help others drive the process of making aspirations a reality.

I value grit, having a growth mindset, integrity, trust and fairness. I have always seen the work I do as an extension of myself, my own stamp left on every task completed.

Being within this industry has taught me that life is unpredictable and we are all trying to find our own place, where we belong, where we have value to add and where we feel appreciated. In order to achieve this, you need to show up every day as the best version of yourself.”

I endeavour to continually broaden and refine my skills base. I value honesty, grit, compassion, fairness, integrity, and having a growth mindset. I believe hard work, determination and attention to detail, are key essentials to facing any challenge.

My experience touches on a few industries but the golden thread in all my career choices has been to be part of customers’ experiences – the conception, strategy, planning, execution, reporting on insights gained and ensuring a memorable experience with a brand, its team, its product/service is where my passion lies.

My goal for the next year is to identify the skills I feel need refining, or those that need to be acquired, in order to ensure that I can happily say that my hard work, dedication, focus and determination has rewarded me with another year of being grateful for a meaningful career journey.
